My interdisciplinary practice investigates the social and linguistic constructs that shape identity, history, and collective memory in the United States.
MessageThis multi-channel video installation features five synchronized projectors casting four looping portrait videos across two custom-built screens and surrounding walls. The screens, made of steel tubing and suspended paper, are paired with translucent umbrellas and patterned floor panels, creating layered surfaces for light and shadow to interact. The projected portraits oscillate between stillness and subtle motion, blurring the line between photography, film, and performance. A carefully composed soundscape envelops the space, adding texture and atmosphere that shifts with the pacing of the visuals. As viewers move through the installation, their presence disrupts the projections, casting additional shadows and becoming part of the work. The result is an immersive environment where moving images, sound, and sculptural structures converge, transforming the gallery into a dynamic space of light, interruption, and fragmented storytelling.
