I created a painting that resembled this one, but with a winter theme, for our Artists' Workshop Spring exhibition. Interestingly, the individual who had placed the chair in the alley actually attended our show in April, hoping to purchase it. Unfortunately, it had already been sold. During our conversation, he shared the story behind the chair. He had deliberately placed it there, along with a coffee tin, to encourage his neighbors to take a seat whenever they stepped out for a smoke. Since the chair held personal significance for him, I agreed to paint it once more, but this time I transformed it into a spring scene.
