My friends and I regularly walk by the Arrand Block at 520-524 11th St. East on our way to pick up coffee during our Monday painting sessions. On this day, I was particularly drawn to the way the afternoon sun played with shadows on the building. Built as a terrace of three homes in 1911-12 by Walter Thomas Arrand and Richard James Arrand, it is ow designated as Municipal Heritage site.
