On a road trip to Yorkton, Sk. for a family reunion, my daughter and I stopped at Antique Etc. This wonderful antique shop is 6 km east of Foam Lake, Sk. on the Yellowhead highway. I found this coloured, 1930's depression era glass pitcher and knew right away that I wanted to paint it. The owner of the shop purchased the pitcher in France at a catholic charity shop call Emmaus. My quilting friends might notice the Kaffe Fasset fabric that the pitcher is standing on, it's one of my favourite motifs from his collection of fabric.
