I hand embroidered personal messages I received and wrote in response to the 2024 election outcome in the United States of America. 

These pieces began as drawings in which a powerful woman is seen smiling and crossing her arms in a self embrace. In the drawings each woman is placed with a flower symbolising strength and a bird for resilience. As the pieces became paintings, a quilt block pattern was added. Each pattern is intentional and adds meaning to the woman in the painting.

These drawings are in the form of greek pottery that often showed tragedies based on the stories of their time. I made a screen of my greek pot drawing and use it as the base for all the drawings in this series. This series touches on politics and injustice as I see it today. The series will continue to grow in response to current events.
