Modern-day Amish haystacks in upstate New York, hand-built using traditional methods. They evoke a certain reverance, small cathedrals to a way of life that has long disappeared from our technology-driven lifestyle. They are also reminiscent of the haystacks of Serena Kovalosky's Polish grandparents who owned a Vermont farm in the early 1900s.
