Rita Roberts began her art career creating stunning and realistic landscape paintings with her unique style of palate knife painting. She is a founding member of the Oil Painters Society of America, and her landscapes, figurative drawings, and illustrations have been displayed and shown in many galleries in the Southwest in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada. Aside from painting, she is an illustrator, author, screenwriter, and owns and operates a commercial and residential painting company in the San Luis Valley of Colorado.
In 2018, Rita's style and focus shifted to more abstract and "channeled" artwork that she calls "Soul Circles" or Soul Portraits. She has created over 150 unique Soul Circles for various clients and purposes since their inception.
This Circle was commissioned by Bonnie Schumacher, mother of Scott Schumacher, and is the first Soul Circle completed for a person who was no longer living by her. This is the Soul Circle for Bonnie's husband, Dallace Schumacher (father to Scott Schumacher)
