I sometimes feel it, see it and paint it; other times I paint it, feel it and see it. Neither situation is entirely pure, and frankly I hold no preference. My work contains fluctuations now that refer to nature and space, and these areas contain ever-changing focuses, as I love the idea of the ‘rotating point of view.’
Frankly nothing seems simplistic to me – there is layer over layer over layer. Seeing to me means noticing complexities that are in every stone, every seed, and every wave – it is all very busy.
