The works on panel and paper in the Counting the Hours exhibition pick apart the thorny data issues behind the gender pay gap, unequal representation of women in the arts, film and television, as well as in leadership positions. Also in the spotlight are mothers, adult caretakers, and women in academia.
Whereas the sculptures and portraits in Counting the Hours tell the deeply personal work stories of individual hard-working women, these works on panel and paper take a broader look at gendered work inequity.
