Manches tritt hinzu, weil es gebraucht wird.“

Die Begegnung zwischen Frau und Leopard folgt keiner natürlichen Bewegung. Die Geste wirkt verschoben, fast wie ein Bildfehler. Gerade darin wird sie wahr. Der Leopard ist kein handelndes Wildtier. Er greift nicht, er antwortet nicht. Er ist ruhige Präsenz.

In heutigen Bildwelten entstehen zugedachte Begleiter und fühlbare Erfindungen. Das Auge gewöhnt sich daran. Mich interessiert der Punkt, an dem vorgestellte Nähe nicht mehr hinterfragt wird.

The encounter between the woman and the leopard does not follow a natural movement. The gesture appears displaced, almost like an image error. This is precisely what makes it real. The leopard is not an acting wild animal. It does not reach out, it does not respond. It is a calm presence.

In today's visual worlds, imaginary companions and tangible inventions emerge. The eye becomes accustomed to them. I am interested in the point at which imagined proximity is no longer questioned.
