Artist Statement: My mural would focus on a moth fae like girl connecting and consoling one of the guardians of the forest, surrounded by the light spirits that live there. The imagery of the moth fae consoling a guardian of the forest conveys themes of harmony, empathy, and the deep connection between beings and nature. The presence of light spirits adds an ethereal, guiding energy, making the scene feel both sacred and transformative. In darkness there is light. All the spirits surrounding the fae and guardian show a sense of being there and guiding each other in a moment of vulnerability. In addition to the painting, I will be activating the mural by animating certain pieces of it using Procreate and the Artivive app. The community can scan the mural with their phone and see it come to life through animation.
