Statement
My work in watercolor explores atmosphere, narrative, and emotional connection through the expressive possibilities of the medium. I am drawn to watercolor for its fluidity and unpredictability; the way pigment and water move across the paper often mirrors the spontaneity and subtlety of lived experience. My paintings range from landscapes and portraits to playful narrative subjects, including animals and character-based imagery. Whether painting a quiet landscape or a whimsical figure, I am interested in capturing a sense of personality, place, and story. Color plays a central role in my work, helping to create mood and emotional resonance within each piece. Through layering transparent washes and allowing the natural movement of watercolor to guide the composition, I aim to create paintings that feel both spontaneous and intentional. Each work invites viewers to pause and engage with a moment of reflection, curiosity, or quiet connection.
