This painting was created from a sketch the artist did while in the South of France, painting where Van Gogh did, at the asylum in St. Remy. This is a view of the olive garden which lies in from of the wall of the asylum.

The artist's signature use of the figure within the trees is very much obscured in this work and you will have to look closely between the trees in the sky.
