This playful totem of a sea horse seeming to surf on the back of a sea turtle was made with earthenware clay, velvet underglazes, driftwood, wooden beads and set on a white ash base. This piece is composed of reminders of the beach and sea, with is soft but vibrant colors, driftwood tumbled smooth by the sea and sand, a base reminiscent of pylons and two of my favorite sea creatures.
