Sandy, the love of my life, had ordered wildflower packets and accidentally planted about 10 times more than directed resulting in an amazing field, full of of every kind of flower imaginable, and critters to go along with them. One beautiful summer day I took my camera and laid down in the middle of those wildflowers, shooting up into that blue sky. I drifted in and out of a wonderful dream state - a sense of well=being and awe filled me - it was happiness, no, even deeper - joy.
When I got back to my studio, I noticed many more things in the images than just flowers - I saw butterflies, little insects crawling around and bees, and clouds swirling in the sky with many shades of blues and purples and seagulls. So much beauty.
Shortly thereafter, I took out a large canvas, meditated and took myself back to that day. It wasn't long before I was there, only this time I had brushes and paint. A week later - Sandy's Garden was created.
Enjoy.
