ARTIST COMMENTS: ‘BAD Dog’ is No. 14 in the ‘Revival Series,’ a group of paintings created during the Covid challenges, during which I committed to painting a theme of bright, colorful cheerful works emanating positivity.

What do you see? Feel?

I know what I felt when creating it and normally I don't reveal this, as it takes away the possibilities of a painting for the observers.

A painting is what you perceive it to be through your life experiences, past and present, and will change every time you see it. That is the beauty of abstract.

What do I see? A BIG Goofy Dog that got loose on a warm summer day and ran thru my mother’s freshly blooming rose garden. And I only saw this months after the painting was completed - but this was pretty much in tune with my emotional being at the time: footloose and carefree - happy!
