"PINHEAD"

Definitely not my usual style work, 'Pinhead' was created, by gallery request for a special show celebrating all things pinball. This painting is my interpretation of pinball, or rather games of 'any' sort, being played, 'from the inside out.' I created 3 paintings for this show, all of them based upon looking at pinball from the viewpoint of a table.

As I was painting this piece, a definite image of a figure revealed himself. As I always allow the painting to show me where to go, eventually it told me the story of a person, in this case a man playing this game, but perhaps any game, introspectively - looking backwards. As he is playing he is not really playing; he is somewhere else, playing, scheming. Kind of creepy but revealing. What is he thinking? Where is he? Who is Pinhead?
