Mixed Media Acrylic and Wood Sculptures on Wood Hardboard. The center piece is a 3" pure clear acrylic cube. Above and below the Acrylic Cube are 1" wooden cubes, painted white. Protruding from the center of each wooden cube is a 2" industrial prism rod. The rod casts prism colors in two places depending on the light source: 1. On the face of the hardboard and 2. On the top and bottom of the square surface of the white wooden cube. In this instance, with proper light placement the entire visible spectrum (red, yellow, blue) can be seen as colored bars emanating from the center where the prism rod emerges. The black and white acrylic rods tighten the observers view on the centerpiece acrylic cube, the red, yellow, and blue slats of systematically diminishing length provide definition framing for the upper and lower bounds of the composite piece.
