Esta pieza tuvo una sensación de rompecabezas desde el principio. Tal ocurrencia es un poco rara para mí. Bloqueé en algunas formas ásperas que tenían algunos ángulos y bordes afilados y luego pronto me vino la sensación de un rompecabezas. A medida que avanzaba la pintura, decidí agregar los bordes de colores brillantes a estas formas, la mayoría, pero no todas, recibieron los bordes de colores brillantes. Me quedé con mi paleta limitada y eso ayudó a relajar la composición y la mantuve en los tonos fríos de azules y verdes con algunos amarillos brillantes para contraste y vitalidad.

This piece had a jigsaw feeling right from the beginning. I blocked in some rough shapes that had some angles and sharp edges and then soon the feeling came to me of a jigsaw puzzle. As the painting progressed I decided to add the bright colored edging to these shapes, most but not all of the shapes received the bright colored edging. I stayed with my limited palette and that helped to relax the composition and I kept it in the cool tones of blues and greens with some bright yellows for contrast and vibrancy.
