We All Do It Sometimes (Get on Our High Horse) was inspired by a visit to the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur in Paris. I had been sitting on the steps enjoying the city view when I turned around and saw this striking angle, where the building and the horseman seemed to come alive. As I later worked slowly through each detail, the humorous title came to me as a playful way to pique the viewer’s curiosity.
