Ova Martin Yard was inspired by a visit to my mother-in-law’s home in Jamaica. The neighbor’s small blue house immediately drew me in—its soft color standing out against the lush greenery. I was moved by the everyday details: clothes drying on the line, the door slightly open, hinting at life just beyond view. In this piece, I wanted to capture the quiet beauty and authenticity of ordinary moments.
