Secrets I and II offer a compelling interplay of geometry and fluidity, where bold brushstrokes and structured shapes coexist in a carefully balanced abstract. These two pieces, each measuring 30 inches high by 24 inches wide were created as a diptych for a museum show. It’s a little puzzle of contrasts—order and unpredictability—that I hope brings a spark of intrigue and joy to anyone who sees it.
These paintings, along with 50 other original artworks by Rene Griffith, was part of Abstraction: Retrospective Memories, an exhibition at the Foosaner Art Museum in Melbourne, Florida from March 20 through June 30, 2021.
