Union Station, Regina/ Bolo Tie
- Copper, Silver, 3 mm Cubic Zirconia, Leather
- 1.75 x 2.5 in
- Nikki Jacquin
This bolo tie was inspired by the Casino Regina Train at Union Station. Before the site was a casino it was an active passenger train station serving many small communities across Saskatchewan. I loved the stories of one of the North Art Guild's 90 year old member's memories of traveling by train to Moose Jaw in the 1930's, then referred to "Sin City". LOL! At the time of hearing of hearing of Lil's adventures as a young woman, I was just in my early 20's and her vivid memories fired up my imagination. The North Regina Art Guild is now called The Heartland Art Guild. They were the first guild I joined in about 1985 and they gave me my first experiences in exhibiting my art and the sales of my commissions.
The braided leather cord is 40" long and has a nickle backing and tie ends.
