The Cow Parsnip is one of the hundreds of perennial wildflowers that are at home in Cypress Hills, Sask. where I was a Guest Artist in Residence for three years. I was paid to hike and paint the trails for 6 weeks in each of 3 years while also providing art instruction to visitors to the park through the Art In the Park program; a Creative Partnership with Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, the Friends of Cypress, Sask Culture and SK Arts. I enjoyed sharing information with my art students about the unique flora and fauna of this region of Sask. that typifies that of the Rockies more than Sask.
The copper plate substrate is mounted on a 1/4" hardboard for stability.
