Painted from my combined memories of several local south shore beaches (in south eastern Prince Edward Island), which are shallow enough to look dramatically different based on the tides but they also change frequently with the weather as the ocean sometimes suddenly covers the shore with seaweed, then scours it down to the rockfall at the base of the eroding cliffs, then pushes the sand high up across the rocks again. I'm never sure how it will have changed from my last visit, but I know there will always be new treasures to discover like seaglass, shells, and interesting rocks.
