This piece marks the beginning of my journey into creating series-based paintings. I’d often heard that painting in a series could be transformative for an artist, but it took me some time to dive in. Wanting to stay engaged throughout the process, I chose a subject I have a deep connection with—roses from Filoli Gardens. This particular rose stood out to me with its striking contrast between the cool, dark tones on one side and the warm, light tones on the other. The challenge of blending these opposing colors into a harmonious composition was both exciting and rewarding.
The painting is framed in natural blond wood and is ready to hang, bringing a touch of warmth and elegance to any space.
