Mountain Memories captures the historic cabins atop Mount LeConte in the Great Smoky Mountains. This almost wintery scene reflects my own experiences hiking the trail and staying overnight—an unforgettable reward for a challenging climb. Created using my signature process of transferring ink onto beeswax, the piece layers memory, place, and process into a textured, luminous surface.
