"Noorun ala Noor" draws its inspiration from a profound verse in the Holy Quran, translating to 'light upon light'. This verse encapsulates the idea of divine enlightenment layering upon itself, creating an ever-expanding brilliance.
The artwork features the sacred Seed of Life geometric pattern, meticulously sewn onto the canvas. This technique imparts an effect akin to a self-print on the canvas, symbolising the organic emergence of light from within. The canvas itself is bathed in the hues of the golden hour, further emphasising the theme of radiant illumination.
The Seed of Life, a symbol derived from sacred geometry, carries deep significance. It embodies the potential for creation, representing the origins of existence and the interconnection of all life forms. In this context, it serves as a visual metaphor for the continuous unfolding of divine knowledge and enlightenment, aligning perfectly with the verse from the Quran.
"Noorun ala Noor" invites viewers to contemplate the profound concept of spiritual enlightenment, symbolised by the interplay of sacred geometry and the golden hour's ethereal palette. It is my hope that this artwork serves as a visual meditation on the infinite depths of divine wisdom and the boundless potential for illumination within us all.
