Visiting my parents over the christmas holidays they had hung up some new bird feeders and the arrival of the cockatoos was a much anticipated family activity! Did you know that Cockatoos are not early risers, instead waiting until the sun has warmed their roosting sites before feeding. They are generally highly social and roost, forage and travel in colourful and noisy flocks. This perfectly describes my family and our get togethers over the christmas holidays!
