The Australian General Store is iconic to country towns around this country. The General Store in Anglesea has undergone a few facelifts. When i was growing up it was known as Maid Marions but it is now the Surfcoast Cafe. This General Store is located at the start of the Great Ocean Road in Victoria and is a great place to stop for a snack before beginning this iconic drive. I was inspired but the shape of the building and the memories invoked by a meeting place that has stood the test of many simpler times. We would often run over from the beach for an ice cream or visit for a lazy breakfast when on holidays. This painting is painted in acrylic on a deep stretched canvas and is ready to hang.
