The White-cheeked Honeyeater is a lively, energetic bird that flits constantly among the blossoms of our native bush. It's very close cousins, the New Holland Honeyeaters are much more prevalent, but I'm still drawn to paint these guys for their striking contrast of black, white, and golden feathers, and also for their exuberant character. Capturing this restless visitor celebrates both its beauty, characterful personality and its important role in pollinating flowers.
