A striking Laughing Kookaburra on a branch of the flowering eucalyptus erythrocorys tree, also known as the red-capped gum or by it's indigenous name, Illyarrie.
Although not endemic, Laughing Kookaburras are naturalised to Western Australia and are a common sight amongst bushland and gardens. They're raucous laugh is synonymous with the Australian landscape.
