Implementing her signature hidden message within the maze, this wayfinding mural by artist Ann Lewis reads ‘a walk down memory lane’ in both directions and guides travelers from the extended parking lot to the terminal. This work was commissioned by the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council andthe Pittsburgh International Airport.
Using the ancient technology of mazes to connect people from Pittsburgh to locations all around the world, Same, Same, but Different bridges communities far and wide.
This wayfinding installation considers the journey of the traveler and hides a phrase for people to discover in both directions to and from the terminal.
