Petronilla Hohenwarter, is a professional Artist based in Germany. She graduated from the Academy of Social Pedagogy in Passau in 1986. From 1987-1997 she worked as a Social Worker in the Field of Education. She quit her Job and started private Training in applied Metapsychology in Munich. There she acquired a Certification as a  a Instructor for Traumatic Incident Reduction from 1995-1997. 

Since early Childhood she was fascinated by abstract Forms of Expression of any kind. It was only a matter of Time until she was completely taken over by the Fascination of Art while traveling to South East Asia 1997. The Spirits of Art were calling her in Indonesia and the Artist participated as a Guest Student temporarily from 1997-2000 at the Art Faculty of the University of Surakarta and took various Art Classes such as Free Painting, Ceramics, Installation and new Media. At the same Time, her first Exhibitions took Place in Germany and Indonesia. Her Love and Appreciation for indigenous Peoples, their cultural Wisdom and spiritual Rootedness made the Artist perceive the Complexity of Humanity even deeper during her Travels around the World. Through her personal Experiences of more than 25 years as a Painter, this inner Wisdom is conveyed through the encouraging and illuminating Art she creates.  

In 1999, the intern. Publishing Group (PNP) was the first Public Art Collection to acquire her Artworks. From 1997-2002 Petronilla Hohenwarter attended selected Art Classes also in Europe to expand her Knowledge and Experience into the World of modern Art. From 1997-2004 she traveled increasingly to Southeast Asia.  The Debutant Award from the State Ministry of Art, Science and Research took place in 2002 with the Artists first Solo Exhibition. In 2004 her Art was again awarded 1. Price in Florence, Italy. From 2004-2020 the Artist participated in several international Art Symposia and Residencies in Europe, Asia and the United States, by Invitation only from Galleries, Art Associations and Foundations. From 2009-2014 Petronilla Hohenwarter worked temporarily in Vienna, Austria. 2015 she again received another Award, dedicated to her cultural and artistic Development. Since 1997 the Artist has been professionally active as an Artist. Her Artwork is listed both nationally and internationally in public and private Collections. Petronilla Hohenwarters visual signature is informal, expressive and visionary and includes painting, drawing and digital art.
