As one who was always begging for the camera growing up, it is no wonder that Pamela Powell became a photographer. Using a blend of digital and analog formats and allowing her intuition to guide her, she sets out to capture the way the world feels when it is unhurried, untouched, even forgotten.  The subtle beauty of decay, the quiet persistence of life and the relationship between the two are often found in her work.  She often notices interesting details that others walk past and brings them to the viewers attention, inviting them into moments of reflection and presence.

Growing up in the Midwest, Pamela now resides in Fort Worth, Texas. She holds a BFA in photography from Sam Houston State University.  Her work has been shown in several group shows both online and in person.  She has recently purchased a 4x5 camera that she hopes to start creating work with a certain depth that only a camera like that can provide.
