The border defines “Justice Delayed”. Begun in a quilter retreat with a batik charm pack of browns grays and creams, I was not sure where this quilt was headed. After returning from retreat and searching through my stash, the justice fabric was a perfect match for the batik charm patch center. I appliquéd the word “Justice” on a red background to symbolize that justice often requires a fight figuratively and sometimes literally.
“Justice Delayed” measures 49 X 52 inches. My friend Maxine Moore quilted a justice motif into the background of the quilt although it is difficult to see.
There is a hanging sleeve on the back of the quilt for easy display and a label that documents the quilt.
I signed it on the front and added a scales of justice charm.
“Justice Delayed” is one-of-a-kind. It would be perfect for an attorney’s office.
