In 2014 when I turned 60 on January 1st, I had the bright idea that I would do a journal quilt once a week. I made it through 10 weeks and then dropped the project. Now that I am in the last year of my 60’s, I am determined to complete the project or at least add to it. I named the series “In the Moment in My Sixties”. Each quilt represents what was on my mind the day I made it.
On the day I made “In the Moment in My Sixties #10”, I am clearly suffering from wanderlust. I am thinking about faraway places and determined to see the world.
The quilt is embellished with charms, buttons and words and quilted in a big stitch using purple Perle cotton.
The back of the quilt is brown fabric with red hearts fabric. There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display and a label that documents the quilt.
I signed it on the front.
