Creatures and Features of the Cannon
Kate Woodstrup and Kathy Ness collaborated to paint "creatures and features of the Cannon River" onto 11 plastic barricades that are used to create a pedestrian zone in Bridge Square during warmer months in Northfield. They sought input from the community to come up with the chosen creatures and features, ranging from fox and deer to fish and the remains of the Archibald Mill in Dundas, MN.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund and residents of the City of Northfield through the Percent for the Arts Initiative.
