Nicole's Story Behind The Painting:
A fire can mean a destructive force that takes lives, causes injuries, turns homes to ashes. You can also use the word fire to describe passion. You can call a person an “old flame.” And then there’s the phrase “sparks fly” or “from the beginning, there was that spark.” When someone ignites desire in us, we might call them “hot” or say, “Yup, that one’s gonna be dangerous.”
We talk in terms of fire for other things too. “That experience lot a fire under my butt.” “Her eyes lit up.” “Tensions flared.” “Once I let go of fear, I began to realize there’s light inside of me.” “She is bright.” “Is it a burning question?”
Yet, at a very basic level, fire is light. My inner spark helps illuminate something inside, helps me see what's here. Knowing my inner spark, fueling my inner fire, helps me travel through the darkness guided by who I am, my own light.
