Flux 2019

Nicky experiences life as a constant flow of stimuli and impressions, consciously or unconsciously seeping in. With FLUX, she builds a bridge between what is known and what is intuitively felt. In a world that moves at high speed, Nicky searches for ways to pause. To stand still in order to move forward. Exploring where the intuitive ends and the abstract begins, she invites the viewer to look beyond the boundaries of the work itself.

This collection debuted at the duo-exhibition Hara/Flux at the pop-up gallery of BMW-JUMA in Belgium.

The Space In-between

"The Space In-between" refers to a collaborative art project and exhibition by South African contemporary artists Nina Kay (Nina Kay Studio) and Nicky Myny.
The duo created the collection by working together on a single, large canvas that was later torn and fragmented into smaller, individual paintings, each holding a piece of the original work. This process explores the intimacy of art, connection, and the space between instinct and intention.

The collection debuted at Gallery88 in Paarl, South-Africa.

Where We Stand

This collection is a new body of collaborative abstract works created on site at Spice Route by Nina Kay and Nicky Myny.
Where We Stand explores presence as both subject and creative method. The collaborative works reveal a dynamic process of movement, intuitive response, and dialogue with the surrounding landscape. Created in direct relationship with the land, the new pieces reflect a shared commitment to slowing down and responding rather than reacting. In a world defined by speed and distraction, the exhibition offers a quiet invitation to stand, observe, and reconnect with place.

The collection debuted at 'The Space' of Spice Route Destination in Paarl, South-Africa. 2026
