This standing fabric doll inspired by Indonesian Shadow Puppets has an interactive quality in the body construction. The flexible arms attached to a narrow bamboo rod creates an opportunity to move and enable the doll to tell a story.
Metal jewelry findings placed at the shoulder and the elbows enable the arms to have a wide range of expressions.
16 inch standing Court Jester fabric figure inspired by Indonesian Rod Puppets. Cotton fabric body, wool stuffing. Features created with acrylic paint, pigma pen, Prisma color pencils. Lips, eyebrows, lids, flair of nostrils and fingernails hand stitched with Gutterman’s and Sulky thread. Highlight and shadow create depth. The full lined skirt is a black, gray and white cotton. The body is a weighted “stump” style torso.
