The Queen of Big Hair
This is a small standing colorful and whimsical doll inspired by Marie Antoinette. She stands on a coordinating platform. Cotton fabric body, wool stuffing. Features created with acrylic paint, pigma pen, Prisma color pencils. Lips, eyebrows, lids, flair of nostrils and fingernails hand stitched with Gutterman’s and Sulky thread. Highlight and shadow create depth. Bodice and sleeves in blue floral cotton print. Vintage laces and embroidered hanky apron over silk and vintage lace skirt. Blue wool blended felt bolero style vest over the bodice edged in vintage pink trim. Tall white hair is a composition of reverse applique cutwork and fine mohair yarn. Cute fabric shoes coordinate with the dress. Wool felt lamb stands in front of the figure and she holds a fabric covered shepherd staff.
