Children are drawn to fire like moths to light. They are surprisingly unafraid of something that has such destructive potential.
This is a study for two larger paintings. One has two figures like this one and is called, "Only Takes a Spark." The other has only the crouching figure on the left and is called, "Moot Point."
Pigments used: Burnt Sienna (PR101), Permanent Lemon Yellow (PY184), Cobalt Blue (PB28), and Titanium White (PW6).
