Painted en plein air at "The Fisherman's Daughter" fish market and restaurant during the beautiful morning light before the day's customers arrive. As I was finishing the painting, the store opened and customers started pouring in...this is a popular place for tourists to have their fish cooked for them. Also residents came to buy their "catch of the day" wrapped up in a paper package to cook for supper later. Painted as part of a mini-series for Plein Air Grand Marais 2024.
