This is a view of Hudson, WI from the Minnesota side of the St. Croix River. I am very thankful to the private land owners, who gave me permission to paint this view from their backyard. The water is unusually high this summer. It often get this high when the snow melts in early spring. The St. Croix River didn't flood this spring because we didn't get much snow this past winter. But now the river is just as high in July as it gets in the significant spring floods.
