I started this painting so that I would have something to work on during my interview on Kare 11 TV during the noon hour on January 14. This painting was created from a reference photo I took for my Urban Life in the Bold North series. I never got to it when I was doing the original series back in 2020, but I like the composition and thought it would appeal to the audience of Kare 11 since it is a scene from downtown St. Paul, with the Capitol in the background. I was actually on the TV because of my 2-month artist residency at the Midtown Global Market. I finished this painting while at the artist residency.
