There's a wonderful window in my house that has the most beautiful blue North light. It's such a nice place to shoot photos of oysters. For this piece, I used a white ceramic plate to place the oyster in the center and the liquor from the oyster leaked on it and created wonderful shapes and highlights. I've always been fond of Russian Constructivism art so in this painting the black, grey, white and red was a perfect combination. So much that I created several more pieces.
