These pieces are about simplicity and minimalism, where marks and texture take centre stage. They are about creating, destructing and discovery. The beauty and structure of the work come from the unveiling and has been my parallel journey. Good art is not only about skill or talent, or they have it. It’s about the honesty of self shared with the canvas and shared with the world. What lies beneath is where the greatness of who we are lives, and it’s worth a little digging, a little patience and lots of courage to look beneath the surface.
