Dreams Do Come True by Miriam Traher Image: Our mark is our thumbprint that is identifiable and unique to us. This piece is not about what is seen but what is discovered and remembered. In part, it’s about the enormity of being. Tomorrow, the sun will come up. Grass grows on a manicured lawn or a crack in the pavement. We are all small “things” in this world of ours. So we colour our hair, pierce and decorate our bodies and spray graffiti to stake a small piece of real estate in what we call life. We leave our mark behind. Outside the lines is about staking my place, one artwork at a time and connecting with others through visual language.
