The Umbrella and Flowers at the Gallery
- Pastel on Board
- 25.75 x 40.5 in
- Miriam McClung
In 2015, Miriam had a small gallery at the Crowe Building in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. Her lifelong friend and art collector had a street-level space available and Miriam put her work there for the summer.
This painting was done at that gallery. You can see some of Miriam's well-known works like "The Wall in Jerusalem", "The Garden", and "The Gardener" on the walls.
One person, after seeing this work, remarked that Miriam was the "Cézanne of Birmingham." That's some fine company to be in!
